The St. Vincent de Paul Society at St. Jude's

The St. Vincent de Paul Society (S.V.D.P.) is very active at St.Jude's. We operate a food panty twice a week on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:30 - 4:30 p.m. Food and clothing is given on an emergency basis to needy persons living within our parish boundaries. We assist the needy by also providing them with information on other available programs in the area that may be able to help them with problems we are not equipt to handle. Those served are also offered spiritual nourishment in the form of prayer to get them through the tough time that they are enduring. We serve approximately 250 people per month. Our operation is funded by the generous donations made by our parishioners at 5 second collections each year, and also by individual food, clothing, and monatary donations made throughout the year.
